The Los Angeles Murderfest will be celebrating its second consecutive year as well as its third year in existence with Version 3.0. Originally the brainchild of Church of the 8th Day founder Daniel Dismal, the Los Angeles Murderfest was born out of the idea that L.A. needed a fest that embraced the various styles of metal, hardcore and punk. Borrowing the initial formula from the highly successful New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, the Murderfest has began to carve out its own niche within the festival circuit in an amazingly short amount of time. With an ultimate goal to incorporate the feel of a European style festival in an American setting, the Los Angeles Murderfest will once again prove to be the staging ground for rare and exclusive Los Angeles appearances and reunions from some of the best outfits in each genre. Cutting back from the three-day structure to a more concise two-day formation, Version 3.0 will feature 40-plus bands on two stages within a 48-hour period while playing host to some of the industries top vendors and record labels in what is being labeled as an underground flea market.
